　１９８８年にバークリー音楽大学セミナーに参加。同時に和声学、音楽理論を学び本格的な作曲活動を始める。１９８９年頃から舞台音楽を中心に活動開始。その後、三宅純氏のアシスタントとして様々な現場に関わる。フリーになってからは舞台、映画、TV、CM、PV、ゲーム、ファッションイベントなど幅広い分野で楽曲を提供し続ける。２００６年に短編映画「アイロン」（企画・製作：東本三郎、監督：中野裕之）の音楽を担当し、同作品が第５９回カンヌ国際映画祭批評家週間・ヤング批評家賞を受賞する。２０１２年に作曲活動を休止。２０１９年活動再開し「salt」をリリース。

In 2006, he was in charge of the music for the short film "Iron" (planned and produced by Saburo Toumoto, directed by Hiroyuki Nakano), which won the 59th Cannes Film Festival Critics'Week Young Critics' Award. do. In 2012, he stopped composing. In 2019, the activity resumed and "salt" was released.
